The overnight format combines arrival, orientation, hiking, outdoor barbeque, dinner, camping under the stars and next-day adventure options.
Arrival & Camp Walk
Your trip leader and shuttle vehicle meet the team at a restaurant off the highway in Igatpuri. The leader guides the group to the campsite until the last vehicle point.
Depending on the weather, the team walks about 400 meters to reach the lakeside camp.
Tea, Orientation & Hike
The team drops sacks in respective tents and meets near the lake for hot tea and snacks. A group orientation covers the location, activities and important camping tips.
The group then leaves for a short hike from the campsite into the mountainside.
Barbeque, Dinner & Lake Night
After returning from the trail, the team unwinds over outdoor barbeque and a local-flavoured dinner.
The night by the lake, dark starry skies, deep silence and cool lake breeze set the tone for a wonderful camping experience.
Adventure Options & Return
After breakfast, the group can climb the highest mountain in the Sahyadri range, abseil from a rocky crag, play a treasure hunt or simply hang around the lake.
Around late morning, the team drives back to the city and has lunch enroute.

Igatpuri is about 125 kms from Mumbai, located at about 2000 ft above sea level on the Mumbai-Nashik route.
By Road
Regular ST buses operate between Mumbai and Nashik. Driving via NH 3 through Shahpur and Kasara Ghats usually takes about 2 hours.
By Rail
Take Tapovan Express to Igatpuri, or a local train to Kasara from CST and then a bus or taxi from Kasara to Igatpuri. The train journey takes about 2.5 hours, followed by 30-40 minutes by road.
