High Performance Teams
Collective performance built through trust, clarity and execution.
Every organisation aspires to build high-performing teams, yet exceptional performance is rarely achieved through individual talent alone. The most successful teams are those that share a common purpose, communicate openly, trust one another, embrace accountability and consistently work together towards collective success.
As organisations become increasingly complex, teams are expected to deliver results faster, collaborate across functions, adapt to changing priorities and solve increasingly challenging business problems. When alignment, communication or trust begin to weaken, even highly capable individuals can struggle to achieve their full potential as a team.
The Strawberry Outbound High Performance Teams Programme is designed to help organisations unlock the collective potential of their people by developing the behaviours that distinguish outstanding teams from average ones.
Through immersive experiential challenges, collaborative business simulations and structured reflection, participants experience the dynamics of teamwork in real time. They learn how communication, trust, leadership, planning and accountability directly influence team performance, while recognising that sustained success depends on every individual contributing towards a shared goal.
Rather than focusing on individual achievement, the programme demonstrates how collaboration, alignment and mutual accountability create teams that consistently deliver exceptional results in the workplace.

Building One High-Performing Team Across Multiple Business Functions
A leading pharmaceutical organisation was preparing to launch several strategic business initiatives involving employees from manufacturing, quality assurance, supply chain, sales and corporate support functions. Although each department was highly competent, leadership recognised that differing priorities, communication styles and ways of working often slowed decision-making and reduced overall effectiveness.
The organisation wanted to strengthen collaboration across functions while creating a stronger sense of shared ownership for business outcomes.
Strawberry Outbound partnered with the leadership team to design a full-day High Performance Teams Programme centred around collaboration, trust, communication and strategic execution. Rather than grouping participants within their own departments, mixed teams were intentionally formed to encourage cross-functional interaction and expose participants to different perspectives.
Throughout the programme, participants engaged in increasingly complex experiential challenges that required planning, resource management, communication and coordinated decision-making. As activities progressed, teams quickly realised that success depended not on individual expertise but on collective thinking, trust and the ability to align around common goals.
Facilitated debriefs encouraged participants to reflect on the behaviours that strengthened or hindered performance, drawing direct connections between the learning experiences and the realities of working across multiple business functions.
By the conclusion of the programme, participants demonstrated greater openness, stronger collaboration and a deeper appreciation for the roles and challenges faced by other departments. Leaders observed a noticeable shift from function-first thinking towards a broader organisational perspective, with teams placing greater emphasis on shared success rather than individual departmental outcomes.
In the months following the intervention, cross-functional communication improved, project coordination became more effective and leadership reported stronger collaboration across key business initiatives. Participants continued to reference lessons from the programme during project reviews, reinforcing a common language around teamwork, accountability and high performance.
Today, the organisation continues to incorporate experiential team development into its annual leadership and business planning process, recognising that high-performing organisations are built by teams that trust one another, communicate effectively and remain united around a common purpose.
